Crumble Topping
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold salted butter cut into small pieces

Pancake Bread
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 6 ounces fresh or frozen* blueberries

    INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a medium bowl, prepare the crumble topping by stirring together brown sugar, flour, and salt. Use a pastry cutter (or two knives) to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles small pebbles or sand. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • Whisk in buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter just until combined. Use a rubber spatula to gently fold in blueberries.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle crumble topping generously over the top of the batter in an even layer. 
  • Bake in the preheated 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes until middle of loaf is set. Serve hot or room temperature with maple syrup.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 pounds beef sirloin steak sliced into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pound egg noodles
  • 1 medium white onion sliced
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Slice the beef against the grain into thin slices. Dust with flour to coat. Set aside.
  • Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain well.
  • Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium high heat. Add in onions and mushrooms and saute until tender, about 7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Without cleaning the skillet, add in butter and let melt over medium high heat. Add in steak slices and cook until browned, 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Return onions and mushrooms to the skillet. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer. Simmer until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Stir in sour cream and dijon until incorporated. Add cooked egg noodles to the sauce. Stir to combine and serve hot. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

NOTES
Beef stroganoff can be served over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pound elbow noodles
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 3 cups milk whole, 2%, or 1%
  • 8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Fill a large saucepan with water, and bring to a boil. Stir in the macaroni; cook until al dente. Drain well. 
  • Meanwhile in another large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt, pepper, onion powder, and mustard powder and cook 1-2 minutes. 
  • Pour in milk and whisk until smooth. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, for 3-5 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. Turn off the heat and whisk in cheese until melted.
  • Pour cooked pasta into the cheese sauce and stir well to combine. Serve hot.

Ingredients for 8 servings
  • 1 ½ cups water, warm
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 4 ½ cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons oil, divided
  • ⅔ cup baking soda
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • coarse salt

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix water, salt, and sugar until combined. Add yeast, and let rest 5 minutes until yeast starts to foam.
  2. Add flour and 2 tablespoons of oil, and mix thoroughly until a dough forms.
  3. Remove the dough and use the remaining oil to cover the bowl.
  4. Cover bowl with plastic wrap, and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  6. Cut dough into 8 pieces and roll them out into thin ropes, twisting the two ends to form a pretzel shape.
  7. Add baking soda to a large pot of water, and bring to a rolling boil. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds per side.
  8. Transfer pretzels to a baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast
  • 6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Combine ingredients in an extra large tupperware.
  • Stir until it forms a dough ball. No kneading required!
  • Cover, and let rise 90 minutes at room temperature.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use. Be sure to provide some small ventilation for the gases produced by rising.
  • When ready, pull off a chunk (about 1/4 of the dough). Roll it out and top with your favorite toppings.
  • Bake on a pizza stone preheated to 500 degrees for 7-10 minutes (until cheese is bubbly).

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 (6 ounce cans) tuna, drained
  • 1 rib celery minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced red or sweet onion
  • 1/3 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/2 avocado diced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons whole grain mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Pinch garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS
  • In a mixing bowl, stir together tuna, celery, and red onion.
  • Gently stir in greek yogurt, avocado, lemon juice, and mustard and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined.
  • Serve by itself, as a sandwich, as a dip, or on toast.

  • 2 cups frozen corn kernels
  • 2 15 ounce cans black beans drained and rinsed
  • 2  medium roma tomatoes diced
  • 1  medium red bell pepper diced
  • 2 medium avocados diced

  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4  cup  extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Thaw corn in a microwave safe bowl for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every 90 seconds.
  • Toss corn with black beans, tomatoes, bell pepper, avocado, onion, and cilantro
  • In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour dressing over salad and toss to combine.

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 lemon juiced (1/4 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 2 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1 teaspoon salt​

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Lay chicken breasts out into baking dish. Drizzle with lemon juice and rub with olive oil.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together lemon pepper, basil, oregano, and salt. Season chicken with mixture, coating all sides.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  • Serve hot. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon slices (optional).

  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh or thawed frozen blueberries
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup whole, 2 percent fat, or 1 percent fat milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a muffin tin or line the cups with paper liners. In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment (or using a hand mixer), cream the butter until smooth. Add 1 cup of the sugar and mix. Add the eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and salt and mix. In a shallow bowl, mash 3/4 cup of the blueberries with the back of a fork. Add to the batter and mix.

  2. With the mixer running at low speed, add 1/2 of the flour, then 1/2 of the milk, and mix. Repeat with remaining flour and milk. Fold in the remaining 1 3/4 cups whole blueberries by hand until well mixed. In a separate small bowl, mix the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with the cinnamon. Use an ice-cream scoop or large spoon to fill the muffin cups 3/4 full. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar over the muffins and bake until golden brown and risen, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool in the pan at least 30 minutes before turning out.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, barely melted but not too hot (see photo above)
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (I used half chips and half chunks, but either is fine)
  • Coarse sea salt

​INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together the flour, baking soda and the salt: Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl beat together the butter, sugars, vanilla extract and the vinegar until smooth. Beat in the egg just until combined.
  4. Mix the flour mixture into the wet mixture just until combined. Stir in the chips.
  5. Using a large cookie scoop (about 2 rounded tablespoons) drop about 3 inches apart onto cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, they will look light brown around the edges and will look underdone in the center. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle each cookie with a little sea salt. Allow to sit on the sheet for 10 minutes before moving to a rack to cool.
