Blessing to you in the name of the Jesus Christ!

Dear Pastor,

I thought of writing to you to make known to you of a great need that exists in the church I serve with my husband at Ampara,srilanka.
To introduce myself, I am sister Desika of the Canaan Evangelical Free Church. My husband is the pastor of this church. We are blessed with two children. We are in to full time Ministry, serving the Lord in response to our calling. Our vision is to help the poorest of the poor in this village, which is situated in Eastern part of Sri Lanka. The burden that has been placed on us by the Lord is to serve the people of this village and help them to uplift themselves Spiritually, Economically and to bring them Salvation so that they in turn would be worthy contributors to the Lord’s Kingdom.
Sir, there are 75 families coming from a very poor background. Most of them are unemployed they do not have proper sanitation facilities virtually living on the street, with no proper clothes and at most times without a meal. The children do not have the necessary school items and as a result they do not attend school. (All of them attend our church, of which my husband is the pastor.)
As a result, these people turn to us for help. I too do not have the means to provide for them all what they need as we too are finding it hard to provide for own family. We too live on rent and we do not have anything to claim as our own. (House or Property)
When I look at this situation that exists around me, especially the plight of the children in all these nearby villages, my heart aches with pain and desperation as we on our own do not have the means to provide for them. This is felt in a greater manner as this is burden laid on us by the Lord.
We are praying for them every day. This is the only thing we can do for them at this present moment of time.
Sir, at the same time, we are hoping to start a self-employment project for these people. This, I feel is the only way to build them up economically as well as spiritually. (The main motive being to share the Gospel among them in order to make them worthy citizens of His kingdom) But, again, even to start this, I do not have the necessary finances. The burden to do this is very strong as most of these families have no father and survival for them has become extremely difficult.
Sir, I now make this appeal of you. Can you please help us by finding a sponsor? I can start this project if you can help me with a sponsor. Many people will benefit once this gets underway and for me, once this starts, it will be my vision for these people coming to life in Christ Jesus. Can you help me please.
