I started jiu jitsu at the beginning of the year, and tonight I received my second stripe. Personally, it was a very proud moment for me. Doing jiu jitsu has been one of the most challenging and difficult endeavors of my life so far (physically and mentally). I'm completely exhausted at the end of each session, but it feels so good. Jiu jitsu is something I've wanted to do for many years, and I'm so glad I finally started. Two quotes that inspire me as I go on this journey: 1) "The journey of a thousand miles starts with one step." and 2) "I'd rather be the oldest guy at the gym, than the youngest guy in the nursing home." I've already overcome quite a few injuries, but I'm glad I didn't stop. I'm learning so many life lessons in this season, as well as learning more about who I am. I may write more about this in the future, but for now, I wanted to share this very happy moment with you.

Acts 20:24

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the Gospel of God's grace."
